Sneak Peek

We spent 3 hours at Portrait Innovations tonight. It was crowded and crazy as ever. But our photographer was very good. This is a sneak peek family and friends of what you will see! The pics of the kids turned out well. We were not crazy about our family picture..by that time anyway Austin is not interested in sitting still! With the weather being so cold tonight and early in the morning Em's school is delayed until 9:30am. That means I get to sleep in too! Yeah!!

Christmas 2005

I was thinking about past Christmas pictures while we were at Portrait Innovations tonight. This is a picture of Emily Grace when she was 2 years old and Austin was 6 and a half months old. I love his reaction!

Santa

Emily Grace had Santa pictures taken at school a couple of weeks ago. I really did not think she would sit on his lap. Since she was a baby she would not go near anyone in a costume. These came back on Friday and I was really surprised....they look great!

Em loves football

This picture was taken when Alabama beat Auburn. Emily Grace got dressed up for the game and was cheering loudly. We were also following the FSU/Gator game (we are a house divided!)..We are sad that FSU and Bama could not beat those Gators..but Bama had a great season...so ROLL TIDE!
P.S. Austin would not sit or stand still for a picture.

Bama Girl

This picture is actually from the Bama/Auburn game. Emily Grace was all dressed up and cheering for her Daddy's team. (She still loves FSU). Even though we were a little sad that they could not beat the Gators..they still had a great season...so even though we are a divided household...ROLL TIDE!

Fun Weekend

We have a great weekend. On Friday night we met Grammie and Granddaddy in Montgomery for Granddaddy's birthday. (Happy Birthday!) Then on Sunday the Praizin Kids had their Christmas program. Emily Grace was an angel:) Thanks to Grandma and Granddaddy for coming!

Two Little Indians..

Emily Grace dressed up as an Indian today at school and had lots of activities to do. She was so sweet to share with Austin after school. She was very proud of her t-shirt, hat, and necklace. She is also thankful that she only has to go to school 2 days next week!

Camouflaged Turkey

Emily Grace had a homework assignment...to camouflage her turkey...(help from parents was allowed..)...so of course you know what she wanted to do...(and what color!)....Princess Turkey and her castle will be hanging in the hall tomorrow at school for all to see. Em is so excited and cannot wait for her teacher to see her it. I have also included a pic of Em outside swinging on her day off of school. Austin would not go outside due to still being afraid of being stung again by a bee....

Happy Fall

Happy Fall!

I like fall...it is winter that I really don't like too much...Emily Grace had fun playing in the leaves at her grandparents this weekend. I could not get Austin to pose for any pictures (or smile). He was too worried about bees...he had gotten stung recently and is a little afraid of being outside.

Playlist

Ok..so those that got a good laugh with the choice of songs... I was trying to put a playlist of my favorite songs on here...did not realize it worked with songs on here that I do not listent to...so I took it off and have got to figure out how to put it back on with the songs I wanted!! I know some of you were going...what is the world??

Wedding

Cousin Jordan's wedding was beautiful. Here are some pics with Em and Austin. My batteries in my camera died right before the ceremony. Thank goodness James' sis had some inside in the lodge and I was able to take some afterwords....The pic with Jordan and Stephen is after the ceremony when Jordan took off her veil and put on Stephen's hat. :)

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the little pumkin patch today since Emily Grace had the day off of school. This is the third year we have gone to this little place. Austin would not cooperate for pictures. (Hopefully he will this next weekend for cousin Jordan's wedding!) He was too busy looking around at what else was going on.

Open House

We went to open house at Emily Grace's school on Tuesday night. She was so excited to show us her favorite centers, some of her work, and where she has P.E. She really loves school. The second picture is Emily Grace with her teacher, Ms. Morris (who is wonderful to Em).

85 years young

I was trying to post this yesterday, in the honor of Papa's 85th birthday. (I had trouble pulling it up!) This is my favorite pic of him (and Granny- miss her)...he is our hero. I really wish you could sit with him and hear his stories of the war, of being a police chief, or when he was growing up. I wish I could write a book about his life....Happy Birthday to our true American Hero...we love and miss you and hope to see you soon.

Future Author?

Emily Grace's first book....hmmmmm....do we have a future writer? I had gotten her a sketch book from Walmart since she is really into drawing and she made a book...took me by surprise...she is very creative! I am sure there is a sequel to this sometime in the future!

Page 1 and 2

Emily Grace spelled ..I love my..on her own and then asked to spell the other words....she loves to spell and make sentences. She comes home and tries to teach Austin what she has learned that day.....well the poor guy could care less about sentences...he just wants to tackle Em to the floor and play!

Part Fiction

This is the last two pages of her book.....one is FICTION ...and the other...hmmm....what does that say about her view of her brother? :)

Thanks!

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for your comments. Emily Grace was beside herself as we read comments from her favorite people and Mommy's friends. She loved it! So you've got to keep it up! :)

Heroes and Jesus

I had to share this conversation I had with Austin. He really loves super heroes...big time. Anyway he told me they live in his heart...I asked him if anyone else lived there....he said Jesus does..then all of a sudden he pulls up his shirt and goes wait a minute I can't see Him...where is he? I assured him the Jesus was still there....with his super heroes....oh how precious is that 3 year-old boy....and what a reminder. :)

Sweet Dreams

Austin was so sweet looking..I could not resist taking a picture. He is hugging his bear (Starbucks) that he got from build-a-bear at Allie's b-day party. Yes, he named his bear that because he loves Starbucks....a vanilla bean frappuccino to be exact! We only get one once in a while...I had to share the pic I took when we got one this summer in Target (he had to share it with Mommy!)...he is so funny!!!

Need to say more?

What is there to say but...You go girl!!!

Lost 1st Tooth!

Emily Grace lost her first baby tooth today. She was so excited! She asked me if the tooth fairy will come tonight....where did she live..etc. I told her that we need to leave it under her pillow and that she would come tonight and leave her some money. She said that was great!!.....my baby is growing up!

Pretty in Pink

Today was Pink day at school. Emily Grace was sooooooo excited! She loves PINK!! (Can you tell that her room is Cinderella PINK?!) Since most of her clothes are pink...she had a tough choice! But she finally chose the pink outfit her cousin Jordan had gotten her. She was tickled pink!!!:)

Missing

As I was packing up my school stuff today so that I could get it out of the dinning room (getting ready for our move to Hoover) and missing teaching this year... Austin came running in the room..saying Mummy...Mummy and gave me a quick kiss and hug...and I just had to grin thinking about Granny... he says it with a British accent (not all the time)....Granny was British and went home to Jesus when I was four months pregnant with Austin....we like to think she is whispering in his ear...it made me really miss her. I think she really would of gotten a kick out of Emily Grace and Austin..how I miss her.....but I know she is home. :)

Texas

When we went to Texas this summer, we took the kids to the Rainforest Cafe in the Katy Mills Mall. Austin just loved it! Emily Grace was not crazy about all the animal noises and lights at first...but then she started to enjoy it. We had such a great time!

1st Day

Emily Grace was ready to go! She was so excited! I walked her to her room and helped her put her stuff up. I was so proud of her. She was ready to get down to work! I gave her a hug and a kiss and headed out the door. I did not cry...:)

Where did the time go?

It seems like yesterday that we brought Em home from the hospital. She starts kindergarten tomorrow. I know she is ready- the question is- are they ready for her? HA! She has been spelling three or four letter words, counting to 200, reading, doing dot to dots....she is ready to go! Her teacher seems very nice....hopefully Em will have a great first day! I get to walk her to her room tomorrow and Friday...
